Hello beasties!

This time on the blog we're having a wonderful time celebrating the Easter holiday...

Well, in actual fact we're not going to mention Easter again at all this post - not once; sorry... PS This may not be true; but we're just not a very Easter-celebrating blog. Have a nice time if you are, though.

First up, here are some of the podcasts that we've just released!

Here we are for episode 243! This time we discuss a first-hand case of ghostly experience that Paul recently received from his old friend Andrew Dexter - the story is shared and the regulars chip in with their opinions... It's a scary little show! There are also poems, clips and comments from the regulars - and even a brief cameo from a very special returning guest! But who is it!? Our next episode, #244 sees Paul and Nick discussing the big pop hits of 1980. Do join us, won't you?! Please email me at if you have any comments - you can even send me a sound-file and I'll include it on the show. The music is by Shy Yeti and Luca. Sound effects by Soundbible and Shy Yeti. All content is Copyright Paul Chandler, 2019 - except for "The Ghost Of Gladstone Villa" account which is copyright, Andrew Dexter, 2019. Episode 243 was recorded between the 26th March and the 9th April 2019, with clips from October 1994 Sutton Park episodes 643-646...

This episode can be downloaded on iTunes, Acast, Podbean and also from Soundcloud at the following link:

Next up - Nick and I are back together for another musical episode - this time we're looking at the big hits of 1980 in the UK and USA.

Here we are for episode 244! Paul and Nick discuss the big hits of 1980 and also jump a few years forward to compare two of the biggest bands of the late 1980s who are still around making new music in 2019! We also ask Wifey Jo and Calum what their favourite singles by these bands are! Our next episode, #245 sees Cuthbert discovering an app related to fellow podcast, The Smellcast; which all seems very exciting until it has a very odd affect on him. Do join us, won't you?! Please email me at if you have any comments - you can even send me a sound-file and I'll include it on the show. The music is by Shy Yeti and Luca. All content of this episode is Copyright Paul Chandler, 2019. Episode 244 was recorded between the 20th and 23rd February 2019.

This episode can be downloaded on iTunes, Acast, Podbean and also from Soundcloud at the following link:

Next up - this is an episode that I recorded quite recently - one weekend when Toppie and I were meant to be recording - but both of us over-slept and missed our recording time... (What are we like!? At least we both messed up... It's okay! We'll reschedule soon!) Anyway - through the wonder of podcasting magic Toppie does play quite a large part in this next episode...

Here we are for episode 245! Cuthbert accidentally downloads a free Pickle Hollow app whilst downloading old episodes of The Smellcast and although it starts off kinda cute it soon gets scary as Cuthbert finds himself losing control! How do they delete the app? Can Toppie Smellie help them out?! Our next episode, #246 sees us heading back onto Pride48 for our April 2019 LIVE show! Do join us, won't you?! Please email me at if you have any comments - you can even send me a sound-file and I'll include it on the show. The music is by Shy Yeti, Harry F and Luca. Sound effects by Paul Chandler and Soundbible. All content of this episode is Copyright Paul Chandler. This episode was recorded on the 6th of April 2019, with additional messages recorded on the 17th April 2019. The video of this episode can also be viewed on our MRSHYYETI Youtube page! Check it out! We also have a Sutton Park clip from December 1995 (#1140-1141) and some further recordings from the archives recorded for the show back in autumn 2018. Don't forget to check out The Smellcast - available on all pod-catchers; thanks again to Toppie for all his help!

Our next episode is our LIVE Pride48 show for April 2019 - it didn't quite go to plan!

Here we are for episode 246! It is Easter Sunday and Paul is about to launch his new book, PIECES OF SHY YETI on and Amazon, with help from all those in the chat-room! Only there is a hiccup with Pride48 which threatens to cancel the whole show!! But never fear - for Shy Yeti and his friends do NOT give up and instead they jump onto Skype to discuss Easter and all manner of sillinesses instead! Thanks to Andrew and Lisa from Round The Archives and Toppie Smellie from The Smellcast for saving the day! We also have Easter-themed, chocolate-tasting EXTRA material!! Why not have a listen!? Our next episode, #247 sees old friend of the show Harry F calling up Paul with a very special request... it involves him singing again... on a big stage! But will Paul be well enough to perform!?! Do join us, won't you?! Please email me at if you have any comments - you can even send me a sound-file and I'll include it. The music is by Shy Yeti and Luca. Sound effects by Paul Chandler and Soundbible. All content of this episode is Copyright Paul Chandler, 2019, except for the clips from Big Fatty Online (Episodes 2926-2928) which share copyright with Big Fatty, 2019. Episode 246 was recorded on Sunday 21st April 2019.

This episode can be downloaded on iTunes, Acast, Podbean and also from Soundcloud at the following link:

Next time on the blog - with the new PIECES OF SHY YETI book now launched; we'll be telling you a bit more about the individual pieces included in the book...

That's all for now! Take care - more soon,

Yeti hugs,

Paul (aka Shy Yeti) xx

P.S. By the way - here are more Sutton Park episodes from my Youtube channel (MRSHYYETI); both from Autumn 1993.

There is some overlap with episode 195, so if you want to see the full episode in one viewing you may wish to swap to the second clip when the first one reaches 195...

We're well into April - with our 3rd anniversary looming and lots of new episodes in the pipe-line! Our schedule list does tend to change every time I post, but right about now this is a pretty good guide to the episodes that we are hoping to release over the next few months; not to forget our monthly LIVE episode! Anyway - take a look at what else we have in store...

Anyway, here is our current schedule!

247. The Day Shy Yeti Lost His Voice!

Paul has been asked to sing his friend Harry's song as a big concert - it's scary enough that it's going to be live, but now he's lost his voice! Can Ikk and the gang help him get through it and will anyone notice if they pull a few lip-syncing tricks!?

248. Out On The Town On A Work Night!

Paul takes the listeners out for a night on the town with an old friend of the show - but what kind of madness will they get up to!?

249. Shy Yeti's New Assistant!

Paul feels abandoned by the regulars - but Cuthbert has a brainwave to get him some help to manage his work-load. What he doesn't expect is that this help may come in the form of a robot called Rob.

250. Stories Of Deadiegrams

The regulars share their memories of times when they have encountered Deadiegrams in odd situations.

251. The Return Of Dameus The Interviewer

Dameus interviews all manner of podcasting celebrities as part of his return to the chat-show circuit.

252. LIVE Pride48 Show - May 2019

253. Shaken Not Stirred!

254. If Poems Were Pies - 10th Anniversary

The first of three 10 year poetry anniversaries for Mr Yeti during 2019.

255. Shy Yeti Is Making His Mind Up!

Paul and Nick discuss the big hits of 1981 in both the UK and the US!

256. The Will Of The People

There is bad feeling in Shy Life Podcast-land when a light-hearted popularity contest to celebrate 3 years of the show goes badly wrong and the results are declared as "the will of the people"! Is this true or have the results been rigged!?! Ikk also recalls when time travel was almost used to fix the results of the Big Fatty Online Number 1 Fan contest!

257. Charlie Grrr and The Pie With The Pastry Plumage!

If all goes to plan with a trip to Venice in May then I plan to a record a pie-related giallo spoof with Charlie Grrr and some of the other regulars! I can promise that it'll be super silly.

### Additionally:

There will - most probably - be live shows every month; but we also have plenty of other episodes either in planning or partially recorded.

### The Shy Yeti and Toppie Smellie Comedy Hour... And A Bit...

Mr Yeti and Toppie Smellie team up to entertain the listeners with their very own brand of mad-cap comedy! What more could one ask for!?

It has taken a while but now we finally seem to have some answers about what ACTUALLY happened at the Murder Mystery Weekend back in October 2018 and the answers are REALLY going to shock you!

### The New Caretaker / "Where's Me Booook!?"

What with Yeti Uncle John often being up in space - Bettina gives Paul the details of a caretaker who used to work on her Estate... It seems like a good idea until it becomes evident that this gentleman swings from being extremely lazy to shovelling every last thing into a bin bag... What ever will happen when he reaches the basement and finds all the tat in Cromitty's laboratory; what will happen to all those priceless Sutton Park tapes? For that matter will Cuthbert make it through the night!?!

### Re-connecting With The Past

Paul catches up with Cromitty and Martin and is excited to learn that Cuthbert has a few added advances that makes it possible to re-connect with the past via old episodes of SUTTON PARK... Ikk is slightly doubtful about it all - but he and Paul soon get to experience the process first-hand. Unfortunately his upgrade also unearths the control of a certain app that was once installed on him!

### Whatever Happened To Dusty The Scone-Eating Dandelion!?

Paul and the team receive a tip-off about an elusive acquaintance of theirs - Dusty The Scone-Eating Dandelion who went missing under mysterious circumstances some time ago... Will they be able to find him with the help of Martin and his detective pals!?

### Bettina and the robot butler

This episode sees Paul visiting Bettina only to find out that the house has recently become robotically automated; also Wifey Jo play a card game with Cuthbert.

### The Great Bingo Scam

Someone is rigging the bingo so that they win - is it one of the regulars or someone more sinister?

### The Continuing Mystery Of Long Lost Cousin Algernon

A number of episodes that involve Martin's investigation into Long Lost Cousin Algernon. What will he find?

### Brocante Saves The Day?

Bettina needs to sell some of her treasures and Brocante The Antique Dealer is called in - but can he save the day?

### Gordon The Crypt-keeper In Need!

Gordon is back - but he has recently lost his job! Mr Yeti does his best to try and help him out...

### Shy Yeti And The Ridiculous Sponsor!

Paul and Toppie Smellie do a show together - but thanks to interference from Paul's new manager they have to keep stopping to do live adverts for the ridiculous sponsors they've been set up with!

### More About The Alien Book

We learn a little more about The Alien Book which made Ikk so unwell at the start of the year - but, of course - things are never simple.

### Caveman Logic and The Shy Life - 10th Anniversary shows

The second and third of three 10 year poetry anniversaries for Mr Yeti during 2019.

### Bits And Bobs and Bobs And Bits - Mk 2

More clips from the archives and recent conversations that don't have a home!!

### Shy Yeti And The Shame Inspectors

Shy Yeti gets more than he expects when he receives a visit from Isaac and Declan from That's A Shame podcast - they are constantly on the lookout for Shame sources - but this time they have Paul in their sights!

### Behind The Scenes - Fiction Within Fiction!

Paul looks back at how he used to film Sutton Park behind the scenes on some of Nick's films - with clips from both Tide Of Freedom and Evil Trophy and the equally as dramatic Sutton Park episodes recorded during these productions.

### Shy Yeti's Summer Retreat!

### Shy Yeti's Three Birthday Treats!

Paul reflects on three treats that he had for his recent birthday - involving activities with Nick concerning Paul's manager, the usual silliness with Toppie and a trip away with Jay and Ikk; all these treats are quite unusual to say the very least...

### Shy Yeti's Birthday Diary 2019

Paul shares his birthday diary with the listeners as he and Toby head off into the wilds of the UK for his birthday! Things are getting out of hand with his manager and Paul has some very shocking news! Can Mr Trowbridge be of any help?
